Hatching assistance

4 eggs in hatcher 2 are dead 1 has fully hatched yesterday which was hatch day. 1 was pipped yesterday through shell and has made zero progress today I opened up the hole a tad so he can get better air just his beak is poking out. How much more assistance should I give before just breaking him free completely.

I thought I had to help mine cuz they piped but after about 12h they hatched

How much more assistance should I give before just breaking him free completely.

I don't assist unless the pip has not progressed for 24 hours. If the pip increases in diameter but does not proceed to zipping I will zip for it carefully while checking for shrink wrapping. If shrink wrapped moistening the membrane with coconut oil works well.

At the most I will remove the top of the shell and let the hatchling kick its way free on its own.

Yeah I busted it out lastnight it had a wing glued down I got that free and cracked the shell around for it. It was up walking around this morning in the hatcher I put it with the other in the brooder this morning when I left for work. Thanks for your reply though I only trust a select few on here for my turkey advice.

I have one that looks like it's totally unzipped but still has small bits of the membrane holding the shell together. No progress in 12 hrs and the feathers that are sticking out are starting to dry. I upped the humidity by tossing in a wet sponge but I'm trying not to mess with it too much because the one next to it is pipping. Should I wait another 12 hr and see?

I hatched out 15 yesterday there were a couple that were zipped but the membrane was not broken I broke it in a couple different places so it could kick itself outta the shell.
