Hatching Bantam Cochin Eggs!

I hope you have a wonderful hatch! I just hatched out 9 bantam cochin eggs from Fattie, and they are so wonderful.....The colors I got were mille fluer, and splash, and two others that I'm not sure what the color is....They're just darling.

Right now, I've got a little black frizzle cochin sitting on some eggs.....Can't wait to see what the chicks look like. Their daddy is a red pyle bantam polish, and the mommies are black mottled frizzle cochin, buff silkie, barred polish bantam, and of course the little black frizzle....

They should be darling chicks!

Crossing my fingers for ya!

Well I got up the courage to get outta bed and take a look...

We have a pip! I only see one so far but it's kinda hard to see all the eggs. I have to go to work today so maybe we'll have some babies by the time I get home at 5:00

We have more pips! Looks like today is the day!

So far we have 7/40 pipped

I'll go back to LuckyPickens auction page and look up the codes cuz I keep forgetting what is what. Lol

Well we only have 3 chicks hatched so far all day. I've never had a batch of chicks hatch so slow before. Usually once the first chick hatches anything else that's going to hatch does so within the day.

Fingers are crossed!

Well as of last night right before bed we had 4 chicks. Anybody care to guess how many will be hatched when I get up?

How exciting! My " teen- agers" in my grow out pen are from lucypickens' eggs. They are so adorable...11 weeks old. One little cock will be going to a new home and a coworker wants to buy one of my little girls but I don't think I can part with her. I also have another batch from west knoll...5 weeks old. They are in a pen right next to the teen-agers. I have roosts in both pens inches from each other so they can visit, and they do. Hopefully in a few weeks they will all be together.
