Im currently buying eggs to go in my incubator, already purchased some jumbo coturnix eggs, but thought about getting some bobwhite quail eggs as well, will these be okay once hatched? as both types will be in same brooder? or should i put them in seprete brooders? Ive hatched bobs and gambels before, but they all killed each other!

Thanks

Does anyone know or experienced this?

Bobs can be really nasty even as chicks. I had to separate them from the cots as we caught one of the bob chicks running around with one of the cot chicks in his beak & shaking it.

Personally, when I hatch different specie of quail (which happens a lot) I brood them separately. You never know what can happen. Coturnix do grow more rapidly than Bobwhites and you want them all to get fed right from day one. I had a helper put cbbq in the same brooder as butler bobwhites once and the next day the bobwhites were the only ones standing

This is what I would do.
