hatching bobwhite quail under a broody coachen bantam hen??

well i know im going to hear about this but i put 10 of the bobwhites under the coachen. i know im going to get yelled at but if they don't live it will be my own fault. just something ive never tried before and i am experimenting .

Exactly. Mine have free access to oyster shell and so do my ducks. You practically need dynamite to get those duck eggs open. The quail eggs? Look at em wrong and they crack. Now the MEMBRANE is different story. The quail membrane is very thick.
 
I cant wait to here the results, I bought three OEGB hens to set on quail eggs, the man I bought them from told me that he has done it in the past and it worked for him. But a bantam cochen is still a big bird, thats why I'm going to try little game hens, but I hope all goes well for you.
 
I tried it a few months ago, the eggs were literally gone in 2 days. I never found them.
