Hatching buddy? Set today, due May 18th

Ducklings are adorable.

Blackbird, hope all goes well with the remaining eggs. Guess some hens only want to brood and not mommy.

Baby Huey is still having leg issues. I have her splinted up correctly with a bandaide so her legs are under her. She does not want to put any weight on her bad leg. So I am not sure on her yet. Trying to allow her some healing time. Been giving her some polyvisol each morning which helps some.
The other chicks are doing well, playing, coming up to me for attention, curious, eating, drinking, and all the normal good stuff.

Well, it's day 21.... No pips yet but I've got the bator cam on so I can keep an eye on them at work. I won't be surprised if they are a little late because my temps were a little low early on when I was having thermometer issues. I saw my Marans egg doing some rocking yesterday but nothing else yet. Fingers crossed I get at least 2 or 3 of these darn Silkies to hatch

Okay, Bator Cam is probably the worst thing ever to happen to my work day productivity. Also, watching them just sitting there doing absolutely NOTHING is driving me crazy. I'm beginning to think that the saying is true... A watched egg will never freakin' hatch!

LOL, try checking on them in 10 minute intervals...there's NO way they can hatch that fast and that way you glance at the eggs and then get some work done...maybe

GAH I'm waiting to get home and see if my broody's other egg hatched! It was wiggling yesterday, and I added two chicks and I want to see if she accepted them...

Our second baby hatched!!! We're DONE, now to just add a few more chicks under her. She accepted the two I added yesterday, and has four under her right now!

My hatch did not go as plan. Probably my worst hatch. I set 30 eggs. 12 were shipped the rest were mine. Before lockdown all were right on tack. Then I only had 16 hatch. Only 6 of the shipped eggs hatched. No movement in the left over eggs so I opened them. Looked like they died the last 2 days or so. Two had even broke through to the innner air cell. I don't know what happend. I do have ONE egg left. No pip but I can hear little peeping! So I am hoping it hatches since it's one of the shipped eggs.

One baby out, one Silkie pipped!!!! Looks like we're running a day late in my bator but here they come!!!

The one that hatched is SO cute... It's from my BO and my blue copper roo - baby is blue with carmel coloring on her face

Hopefully my Silkie hatches successfully - right now s/he's the most expensive chick I've ever bought but hopefully some of the others will decide to hatch too and spread out the cost. LOL
