Hi! So I am incubating some chicken eggs right now they are currently on day six and all showing development. I’m not worried about these chicks, but I’m just wondering if there’s anything different about incubating chicks than ducklings. I know the chicks take a shorter time than ducklings do but is there anything they do differently than ducks? And on the 14th, I’m gonna throw a few duck eggs in there. There’s gonna be about 14 duck eggs, presuming both my ducks lay. There are only three chicken eggs. They are also incubating at the temperature duck eggs should be incubated I’ve heard this is not a problem, but dose this mean they may hatch later.

Any tips and tricks about incubating chicken eggs would be very appreciated! Thank you!

day seven and they’re still all doing good. Does anyone know if they need the same humidity as duckling wood? I have to incubate them at that because I’m putting duck eggs in soon.

wont hurt them ..if your around, id snatch them out as they hatch so theyre not kicking things around too much - hear chirping theyre out ... have the brooder all set up and ready, drop them in wet😉

OK, great thank you! When I hatch ducklings, I usually leave them in for a solid eight hours. Thanks for the reply!😃
