Ok I know most people us a egg turner for there chicken eggs and I been told not to use a egg turner for my duck hatching egg on here and to turn them my hand 3 -5 times a day and lay them on there side ,

But what is the best way for turkey hatching eggs and Pheasants eggs .

It seem to me that they all lay there eggs on there side when there are sitting on there eggs on there own and just roll them over as the days go by so what is best .........egg turner or by hand

I’ve had great luck with my chicken eggs in a egg turner , but I never hatch duck eggs as of yet in the turner but I’am turning them my hand as of now as I been told to do so ........., as for my turkeys and pheasants eggs which is best on hatching rates my hand or egg turner

my first time with turkey eggs and I don't have a turner and they are on their sides they were shipped eggs came in a damaged box and 6 out of 7 are good at 5 days and the one I'm not sure of might be good I will wait till day 10 to toss....you can ask on the turkey threads but most everyone on these boards does with what they have-we always wish for what we think is better me included but my pocketbook rules every time. I hope I'll have a GOOD HATCH but I read of so many having problems and I am counting my blessings hoping mine hatch out well. If you want to try and can get good eggs go for it. This hatching thing is an addiction trust me you could find something worse

no ducks for me my neighbor raises those but I am very happy with my turkeys so far and have some more ordered for later this month when I have room for them so I guess shortly I'll know if I can hatch them and I am not planning on them getting into a turner I do them 3x a day myself
