Hatching Chicken eggs with a duck

You can, but I strongly advise you to remove the chicks after they hatch and raise them in a brooder.
What breed of duck is it ?
If it’s a large duck she may step on the chicks with her big feet and kill them.
Ducks will also try to swim with their young so if you are going to let her raise them keep them away from deep water.

Why not just destroy the nest and not let her hatch any? I sure wouldn't want to sit all day for a month on eggs just to have them taken away when there hatched.

I agree, Ducks raising chicks usually doesn't turn out well.

It was a success and she is being a great mama. Put 6 chicken eggs under her and 5 hatched successfully.
