I have a question and it may have been answered on here before. But, if the humidity in my house is between 50 -60% can I do this : When it is time to take the eggs out of the incubator, can I just place the eggs in a box with a heat source suitable for hatching and let the eggs hatch like that? Do they absoluetly have to hatch in a hatcher?

I know I can do that. But why can't you hatch them in a little homemade brooder type box in the house using the humidiy thats in the house.

Because relative humidity changes with temperature! Your house may have humidity of 50% at 70 degrees. But that same amount of moisture in 100 degree air will be much much less (maybe 20%) because hot air holds more moisture. Basic physics.... Please keep them in the 'bator!
