If I could I would hatch chicks all year. But I have school and there isn't many people around here who want chickens exsides my feed store they take my bunnies and chicks and give me food for my other animals I call it a trade well good lunch with hatching chicks and what types of chickens do u have
Also when u get your eggs put the eggs big side up in the carton and leave it there for 24 hours so the air sac can rise u get much better hatch rates doing that and u can also do the dry method for incubating that help to
How long can you store the eggs before incubating and if I can store them how should they be stored. I have 6 hens and 1 rooster only two lay eggs right now so I don't get very many eggs at a time. I'm at about 3 to 4 eggs a week.
The longest u can do is 7 days to get a better hatch rate don't clean them and put them in a carton and flip each egg 3 times a day until they r ready for incubation the way I do it is I put them in a cartoon lift the cartoon up get a cup, place the cup under the cartoon on 1 of the sides and just turn the cartoon if this sounds complicated I will draw u a picture
