hatching date advice

hi guys. i have a hen sitting on eggs and due date for hatching has arrived. there is a terrinle smell under my hen. i lifted her quickly and saw that therewas a chick and 3 eggs that appeared ok - and the chicks egg shell. it really stinks like something dead rotten there . i only had 4 eggs so no othet suprises. would it b ok to lift up mum and give nest quick freshen up or should i just wait till the other eggs hatch ( hopefully). i dont want to interrupte and ruin a chickie hatch chance.

I would remove that rotten egg as soon as possible. If it cracks and get on the chicks it could cause them to perish. It will have a crack on it
