I know this is a chicken site but I have read through and see some questions being answered about duck eggs.
Today is day 27 of incubation I have 7 duck eggs and all were candled on day 25 looking great and seeing lots of movement. They are in lock down and I am trying to be hands off and patient but I am nervous that they are not progressing. This is my first time incubating and I am just so very nervous. I know it takes time, but online gives so many different answers on temp/humidity and whether or not to intervene.

I am mainly just curious if I can candle them to make sure they are still alive and okay. Most people seem to say hands off while others say its essential in making sure they are not running out of air.

I just don't know what to do or who to listen to. I want to do right by these little ducklings. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Leave them alone during lockdown. If you pass day 28 and nothing has happened, that’s when you want to start to consider checking on them and possibly intervening.

Thank you, I have not touched them since being told to move them from carton. Some seems to be wiggling so I’m hoping they are doing okay.

Thank you. Should I be concerned about the others I have not seen wiggle? I also have not heard or seen if they have internally pipped but I’ve read a lot of people can hear tapping or little peeps.
