hatching day

My 5 year old sons Godmother gave him 3 eggs and this morning is day 21 of incubation and this morning we hear the chirps coming from the egg! He left to school very happy this morning ! This is our first time hatching eggs we are very excited.

Oh we just started hearing the chirping this morning around 5am so how long does it take for the chick to come out ?

It could be a couple of days, so don't panic if it takes that long! I heard chirping from the egg(s) long before I ever saw a pip.

Some pip and zip fast, others pip, then rest a long time before zipping (chipping a line of holes around the egg to pop the whole end off). I had one pip and then it took TWO days to zip.

it hatched ! at 4:22 pm just in time for my 5 year old to come home from school and watch it hatch !
