Hatching Duck and Chicks tgether..Lockdown question

I am hatching a mix of chicken and duck eggs in my little incubator. They are scheduled to go into lockdown tonight for the chicken eggs. Monday is day 21. Since the duck eggs take longer and I am a first time hatcher I have a few questions.

1. Will the ducks be ok not being turned during lockdown for the chicken eggs?

2. How long past monday should I lockdown the incubator?

3. Since I am increasing humidity for the chicken hatch should I keep the humidity high until the ducks hatch or is it ok to let it go down a little until I raise it again for the duck hatching?

Also I have been attempting to candle the eggs and I only kept the ones that had obvious development of some sort. I am getting a pretty strong rotten egg smell. Is that normal? I

The rotten egg smell is not normal. Quickly but gently get that one out of your house NOW!!!! Dispose of it well away from civilization.

Probably. That’s the way I would go. When I hatched turkey eggs with chicken eggs, I started the turkeys a week early so they hatched together.

2. How long past monday should I lockdown the incubator?
It depends on how long the hatch lasts.

3. Since I am increasing humidity for the chicken hatch should I keep the humidity high until the ducks hatch or is it ok to let it go down a little until I raise it again for the duck hatching?
I’d drop it until time for it to go back up.

Thanks for your response. Is there a quick way to find out which egg or eggs are causing the rotten smell?? I have 30 in the incubator. Since im going into lockdown tonight and most of my eggs are chicken eggs should I just wait and find the stinky eggs until after the chickens hatch or should it be done asap? I only have 4 duck eggs and I am sure they are still developing as they should.

SAP! if it explodes your whole house will stink.

Carefully sniff each egg. It should be obvious.
