Hi!
I’m currently collecting my runner and khaki eggs to hatch. storing them in my basement and tilting the egg carton twice a day. Small end of the egg pointed down.
My first question is when I go to put them in the incubator do I bring them upstairs where it’s warmer to warm up first? Downstairs is about 61-62 degrees and upstairs is 70-72.
The incubator will be set up in the basement because upstairs is too hot correct?

Sounds like the upstairs would be fine to set up in. I'd just put the eggs in when you are ready, the incubator will warm them and that's not too drastic of temperatures to worry about it.

Thank you!

I’ve been reading conflicting reports about how the duck eggs should be in the incubator. I bought an egg turner but is it better to lay duck eggs on their sides and rotate manually?
