Hatching Duck Eggs On a Desk

So. My niece wrapped some duck eggs in a towel, set them on her desk and put a regular desk lamp on them. No thermometer, no nothing. And she sent me this picture this morning.

Why did I even buy an incubator? 😂

Wow! That’s cool! Does she have any humidity abailable? If not she’s probably dry hatching and will need some after ‘lockdown’.
Probably not, I plan on checking in with her about in in a week or so to see if the eggs are still viable, and if so then I will get serious about making her mom go over and help her out. Here's the set up.
