for those who have hatched duck eggs do they do better on their side or on end? i have mine on end but now i wonder if i should have placed them on their sides. i have 1 that is pipped but has not made any progress since pipping the shell at 2 this afternoon. this my second attempt at hatching duck eggs the 1st was a complete and total failure. 2 pipped and died and the others internally pipped and then died.... so i am nervous about this hatch. any advice would be most appreciated. thank you

do you think i would be ok opening the incubator to lay them on their sides?

I would leave them alone unless you can mist them safely when you open. Be patient with duck eggs, they take a long time from pip to hatch. Its like watching grass grow!

ok i'll wait but i must say its worse then watching grass grow
