Hatching duck eggs under a broody hen

I have got my broody silkie hen sitting on 4 pekin duck eggs as from yesterday. I didn't set the eggs for 24 hrs (as recommended!) before I placed them under my hen. Will this affect the eggs in a major way?

Does anyone have any experience hatching duck eggs under a broody hen? Any advice would be much appreciated.

This thread is about a hen sitting on duck eggs with success,they are starting to hatch.
Are your eggs shipped eggs? If you have let them settle for 24 hours I'm presuming they are. Shipped eggs do have a lower hatch rate as they can become damaged during shipping. Hopefully the thread starter will be able to help you @blankchicken
