Hatching duck eggs

I have 2 duck eggs that I have in an incubator. They are on day 29 but look like day 24 according to a chart I've seen. I candled them just now and they are really dark with a small air pocket. Are they dead?

Welcome. I would at this point finish out the incubation days before determining if they are no good. Could be your humidity is too low, but I haven't used an incubator before. Perhaps asking in the incubating and hatching forum might get you an answer.

I have never incubated eggs so can't offer much help. I have heard if the temp is too low it can slow growth of embryos. You could also post on the "Duck thread," or any of the hatching threads for better advice.
