Hatching duckling problem

It is widening the hole really slowly and is still yawning and making eating movements. When I candled there are still some blood vessels visible, but much less and much smaller and paler than before, so I assume it isn't completely ready to come out yet. I decided to just moisten it a bit and leave it as it is over night and hope it will be ok. Mom is super protective, every time it peeps she starts talking back and looks at it, so I hope she will help it if needed.

Sounds promising!
Yawning and chewing generally means it's still absorbing everything.

It hatched! This morning I found a beautiful happy duckling, and an even happier momma duck 😊😍
