Hatching ducklings

Good hatch rate!Most the time if you don't help hatch you will get around 60% on Swedish. If you do help carefully you can get around 90%(It's a myth that they all die when you help). But that hatch rate is very good for Swedish!

I’m glad you mentioned that because I did have to assist with the hatch. I had to help three eggs. Two didn’t ever pip on their own. So I carefully and quickly took them out of the incubator and poked a hole in their eggs to help them and placed them back in the incubator. 24 hours later they both hatched out on their own. Also one of them pipped on the small end of the egg. He ended up getting stuck and I had to help him out. When he came out he still had his yolk sac attached and I carefully put him in a small bowl lined it with moist paper towels and placed him back in the incubator and it took him a little over 26 hours to absorb the rest and now he is doing great with the other ducks.
