I have never incubated or kept ducks before, and I have a lot of questions...
1. are Silver Appleyards noisy?
2. do you need to put a roof/netting over their play yard for protection?
3. how hot do I keep the brooder, and how long do they stay in it?
4. I've read posts about bumblefoot, how do I avoid that?
5. Should they be on mulch or dirt? I have a lot of shade, so grass is impossible.
and finally
6. will ducks hang with you when you are outside, or be more like the cat and disapear into the woods (or worse, the neighbors yard)
any other advice you have, especially on Appleyards, would be much appreciated!
