I would have never thought to ask how my eggs are going to be wrapped for shipping... I've only ordered eggs once and they were wrapped wonderfully! I really appreciate you sharing this... in the future when I order eggs I will be sure to ask and learn from your scrambled eggs shipment. I hope your eggs hatch out!!!

Sorry to here about the Buckeye eggs.I had some Quail eggs shipped to me and it looks like they were used for a football,I'm hoping the ones that were not cracked hatch.
I do not like the egg carton method of shipping,I just got some Delaware eggs and each egg was wrapped in bubble wrap,I like this method.

I never thought to ask how my eggs were packed until I got some eggs from a woman on ebay last fall. 1 dozen wrapped in egg carton with the thinnest pc of paper towel or tissue around the eggs. one of them wasn't even wrapped at all. Mine didn't like yours, but all of the air sacs were detached. I only had 1 that developed and later on blew up in my bator. Sooooo now I ask how they are packed everytime, before I buy them. I did get a refund, and she asked me to leave her positive feedback for that. I did not agree and left her negative. They were so poorly packed and others were complaining too. I'm very glad you got a refund and maybe he will think twice about his poor packaging now...especially if he is a good reputable breeder! Best packaging I got was individually wrapped in bubble wrap with cushioning around them and once I got them in a carton with small wood shavings. Had a great hatch rate those ways! I hope everything works out for you, and don't be afraid to leave the appropriate feedback if its available to leave. Hope you told him that his packaging was awful too.....

I'm planning on shipping fertile duck eggs this spring, so I've been reading all the threads I can find about these "massacres" so that I know exactly what NOT to do. Personally, I like the individually wrapped (in bubble-wrap) method, with the wrapped eggs then cushioned with tightly packed packing peanuts, shredded paper, or sawdust/pine shavings. I received some eggs packaged this way, and had a decent hatch.

Partyfowl - The way your eggs arrived was completely unacceptable, and I'm so happy that the breeder's replacing them. I hope the new shipment arrives in much better condition! Good luck!
