Hi, I have a question. I have had several groups of eggs to hatch. Each time there will be like 5 eggs to hatch and maybe 3 or 4 that don't, when I crack them there is a chick in them but its odvious that it died early maybe after about 2 weeks. Because its not fully developed. Does anyone know why this is happening. Thanks Randy

Many reasons might cause them to stop developing. Temp spikes, general health of the parents, improper turning of the eggs, ventilation. Salmonelloses or other disease.
If you are getting some to hatch each time you might consider egg placement. Still air incubators have hot spots. You might try to rotate the positioning of your eggs as you turn them. If you are using a forced air incubator with a turner then obviously this will not help. Shipped eggs can also sustain shock during transporting not enough to cause a failure to germinate but enough to make the extreamly fragile. If you are setting eggs that are shipped 50% hatch rate is considered good.
