I am going to try to hatch some eggs, everything that I read said that most of the hatchinglings would be roo's is that true, and do you all keep your roos that hatch?

I don't think that's true. Every hatch is different, sometimes you'll get more cockerels than pullets and vice versa, you just never know. You can rehome or eat extra cockerels.

Since we got chickens we dont eat chicken anymore only eggs

I read that it's pretty much 50/50 on the sexes, but then that's an average so anything can go on a per hatch basis.

Put the roos on Craigslist.

I hatched out a batch of Franks (ae50mag) seramas and out of 17 chicks only 4 are roos

course I waived the magical pullet stick over the bator everyday

HAHA.. sure, but its the mystical chant that makes the differance....

They say it 50/50 one of my hatchs was 1 roo out of 7 and the other hatch was 4 roos out of 5 hatched. I think it all evens out .
