where is the best place to buy hatching eggs?

Most hatcheries sell eggs, and eBay always has eggs of many different breeds. You could also look on here in the buy and sell section or if you want to find eggs locally you can look on your local craigslist in the farm and garden section. I don't really know what is the "best place" it just depends what you are looking for, how much you are willing to spend etc. Good luck finding what you are looking for

Ebay is kind of a crap shoot. Some sellers are fantastic, some not so much.

Believe it or not, I think some of your best luck in good hatching eggs is right here at Back Yard Chickens. I've only bought hatching eggs once, and it was a mixed experience. On one hand, I had 6/7 chicks hatch. On the other, of the 6 that hatched, only ONE was the right breed. Turned out the seller wasn't as good at keeping their flocks separate as one would hope. But, from their other feedback, I think it was an isolated incident.
