i have several eggs in a incubator and i have one bantam egg i should notices is starting to hatch this is my first hatch so i dont know its a very small part of the egg its like cracked and pushed out and i was wondering how long it will take before it comes out more i dont even see a beak yet and also is it normal just to have a small part of the egg to start thanks.

Hold on tight and leave the incubator closed.

The small dent sounds like the chick has external pipped. It looks like a little outward circular mark in the egg shell. You might be able to hear the chick peeping too. Some come quickly after that, but 24 hours is not unheard of either. Is your humidity up in the incubator? Sounds like you will have a new chick soon. Best wishes!
