Hatching eggs at school

Well I know that an inverter runs about #20 on ebay for one more than big enough .... Walmart sells cheap ones, you only need about 40W .... easy

I just got my incubator earlier this week. I want to gather some eggs for the project but need to know a few things.

Will I be able to keep eggs for a few day building up to the time I put them in the incubator?

If so how should I keep them?
How warm?
How long?
What other measures should I take?

Any advice would be great.

I keep mine at room temp on the counter until I set them. After 7 days the hatchability rate dereases but doesn't mean they won't hatch.
