Hatching eggs but a problem has occurred!!

Hi all,

Last week I put two eggs under my broody silkie, until now I haven't had any problems, but the fertile eggs were then accidentally put into the fridge for around 8 hours. I just wanted to know if the chicks were dead of still alive. I'm pretty sure they're dead but I don't want to throw out alive chicks. For now I have put them back under the silkie until I get a conclusion. Thanks for your help!
