Breeds laying now are:
Turken (Naked Neck) (6)
Silkie (6) this is a mixed pen, has white, black & buff)

I will send extras if available.

I wont send until it is atleast 35 degrees here (or your location) at night. I don't want your eggs to freeze. Eggs probably will not ship until january due to weather.

Silver Laced Wyandotte over a White Leghorn (2)

If you wait about two weeks there shouldn't be any crossbreds from the NN pen.

I'll get with you a little later, I need some NN eggs myself.

ok, thanks!! (s)he keeps slipping over somehow, I guess Im not as smart as a chicken because I cant figure out how its getting in. Im pretty sure its a female, but Im not 100% sure, its still pretty young and not crowing yet if its a rooster. Its been freezing so I havent been able to mess with the pens and figure out how its getting in, but it is supposted to be 50 this weekend, so I am hoping to go do some detective work then. I just hatched out a lil turken last night, soo cute :) they are by far my favorite chicken.

I will be interested in SLW soon...will you have them available? Will be purchasing 12 if you have that many, and will want them in time for the Easter Hatch-a-Long, weather permitting for shipping.

Thank you thank you!!

I may be able to do 6 silver laced wyandottes when it gets a lil warmer..Im getting about 2-3 per day from them when its not freezing cold, like it is now. not sure if I can guarantee any more than that. I dont like to ship them when they are older than 48 hours, but I can if you dont mind. I am getting some new SLW to add to my pens shortly, but they will be chicks, so I wont have any eggs from them for a while
thanks

Ok, I'll have to think on that. Since I do not live far from PA (actually, I was born and raised there...born in Lancaster, raised in Morgantown, then Tioga), maybe that will cut down on shipping time? I definitely would like more than 6, just in case some don't hatch.

ok, just let me know. I have been searching for local SLW adults.. but no luck yet. Im trying to decrease the waterfowl in my flock and add more chickens. I am working on it and have room for more chickens now :) Thats the first breed I want more of. They are so pretty. Yeah, shipping should be fast. I have a friend in the poconos and when I send her something she usually gets it the next day. Virginia isnt that much farther, I cant imagine it would take long. I live in State College. I love Lancaster.. we try to go there shopping atleast once a year. Is Tioga up by new york? I think we had a camp up there when I was younger. Near Towanda? I rememeber a Tioga, but not sure if it was in New York or PA.

My mom and stepdad just moved in with my family...they moved here from the Ponconos! East Stroudsburg/Bushkill area. State College isn't too far from Tioga...and yes, it is near the state of New York (we would have to cross into NY to go to the closest mall lol). Tioga is near Wellsboro, home of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon

. I have heard of Towanda because my volleyball team in high school competed against them, so they can't be too far.

The beauty of the SLW is why I want them (as opposed to the other colors). It is the one breed I cannot get from the woman I want to get hatching eggs from (she lives 10 minutes from me). I will be getting some EE eggs from her, though. But I really want SLW...in fact, it's in the number one spot of breeds that I want!! You said you were trying to decrease the waterfowl in your flock...are you talking about ducks? Do you have any duck hatching eggs for sale? My mom wants to hatch ducks for the spring, but no one around here sells them!

Oh. Ive been to the PA grand canyon before.. It was a long time ago, but I was there. Its really pretty.
I wish I had someone that lived that close for eggs! lol..well I kinda do, but I just bought one of his cabinet incubators, I think hes getting out of chickens.
Yeah, Ive gotten rid of my geese and 8 of my ducks in the last week. I am probably keeping my khaki campbells and maybe my fawn & white runners, but probably nothing else. I will have some of their eggs come spring. I think the only other ducks I have left are my swedish and a few mixes. (spring is coming though, and Im a sucker for ducklings, so we will see how successful getting rid of ducks will be lol)
They are just sooooo much messier than my chickens.
Its funny though, I didnt even intend on getting any SLW.. My niece ,who was 3 at the time insisted I needed the chicks, and hers were just killed by a bear, so I got them because she wanted them. Now she doesnt care about them, but I love them.
