Hatching eggs for someone...what would U add to the agreement?

I've written up and printed out an agreement for them to sign. I have added everything I THOUGHT should be added Picking up chicks, prices, time frame to pick up chicks, etc... Is there some important things you can think of that should be added? Is having them sign an agreement a good idea or does that seem to weird?

I am doing the same thing but just going for it. No agreement in place, but I am pretty trusting as well and our spouses work together. Besides, I hold the chicks hostage!!!!

Are you charging them "per chick that hatches"? What do you do if (god forbid) none hatch? I've thought about using a surrogate hatcher in the past, but I'm pretty sure I'll have enough broodies this year. It would be nice to know how it works though for future reference

I'd get at least 1/2 of the money up front.....will make them less likely to decide they don't want the chicks afterall.

I agree with getting as much up front as you can. My friend hatched out a clutch of Barnevelders for someone last fall, and never heard back from the guy. Got stuck with a bunch of chicks, of an unusual breed, at the wrong time of year. Of course, it worked out very well for ME, as he gifted them to me, so I have a nice little flock of Barnies from nice lines

But seriously, some people are deadbeats. Get money up front.
