I candle at day 7 and if they are clear, which you can definetly tell by then, i throw them out. If they have something in their but it looks cloudy, I usually hang on to them till the next candling day. If there is a blood ring, i throw it out.
Another example of a bloodring - yes, they can and most often do go around the circumference of the egg as seen here. In fact, that's the only way I've ever seen them in my experience.
Chicky Tocks - That is what it looks like. It circles the middle of the egg. Very well defined red line. There really is no other red anything that can compare to that one red line in the egg. It is the only one like that.
So I would say it is safe to say it is a goner and toss. Everyone agree with that??
If it looks like that, it very well may be a goner. I have left them in for a few days more just to be absolutely certain. If you do this and don't see any other veining or movement, you're probably safe to toss it.
