Hatching Eggs in a aTyre šŸ¤”

You can hatch eggs in anything you want as long as you are able to keep temp steady.
Keeping the temp steady will take as much time as you allow for keeping it steady.
I skimmed 4 seconds of the video. I imagine this video isn't showing the entire story.

It's just another homemade incubator. It has temperature control but no moisture control. The water in the tire adds moisture but you can't control actual humidity level. It still should hatch some eggs in many circumstances. It may work well in some conditions.

Thousands of years ago the Egyptians and Chinese were hatching large numbers of chicks with piped in heat. No electricity for temperature regulators or anything. Think back to the time when the pyramids were being built. People have been using incubators that long. And brooding the chicks themselves.

It is fascinating, but not all that new. And it shows you how tough those eggs and embryos can be.

I think the video was produced as a novelty. :frow
Things I see deficient or not right. (these are just my opinions :old )

1. The light in the middle would overheat some of the eggs closest, (light bulb was right on top of the eggs) and some of those on edges would remain cooler. Even though the controller was set to maintain temperature.
2. Covered with just a cloth,, the humidity would escape faster than desired.

Final thought,,,, A home-made incubator can be made from a Styrofoam cooler, as many have,, and be VERY SUCCESSFUL.
