Hatching eggs in an incubator when you only get 5 a day.

I've been hatching eggs in two Little Giant incubators. My chickens are only producing about 5 new eggs a day and I've been putting them right in the incubator. So my eggs have varying "due" dates - it can get tricky, and it plays havoc with my humidity (opening the incubator all the time). I'm wondering how other people are dealing with this problem. If I had a way to keep them at 50 degrees, I'd save them up. Thanks

Why don't you just collect them, save them in an egg carton, but keep turning them in the carton, then place them in at once. Unless you are trying to hatch a whole bunch of eggs then it wouldn't hurt to save up for a few days or so.

You can collect your eggs and keep them at room temp for 7 days. 35 eggs is a large set in a little giant.
Your eggs even will be good up to 10 days.
If you have 2 bator use one to incubate and the other as a hatcher. And you can do staggered hatches ever 7 to 10 days.
This way your not up and down with your temp and humidity.
This is what I do and have had great hatches with my own eggs. I have eggs in my bator now one set at 14 days the other is at day 7.
When set one goes into bator #2 at day 18 I'll load more eggs etc.

Get another incubator and save eggs for 6 to 7 days then set.

Use one incubator soley as a hatcher. Then alternately add every week. Better than adding every day and you'll have more success..
