Hatching eggs in Egg carton

I would rather use the paper cartons than the styrafoam or plastic cartons. I dont cut the bottoms out, just poke holes in them. I use them to hatch out my call duck, mandarin duck, standard, and bantam chicken eggs.

I have an egg carton in my incubator now being used as an egg turner but on day 18 i will lay them down on the bottom of the incubator floor to hatch.

All of you that use the cartons, do you set the carton flat when you stop turning for the last 3/4 days or do you leave it tilted to one side?
