Hatching eggs, little things

Hi, I am hatching eggs in late Feb,(I have time to think about it) with a store bought incubator, not a fancy one, but it does have fan and turning. I have hatched many in my own DIY incubator, and one large batch in this incubator last April.
I know a lot about hatching but some times there are small tips and advice that you have tried and most people have not tried or heard of. So you have any over looked tips to share?

My tip is add a copper penny from before 1982 if you have a water dish in incubator, it helps purify the water.
