I am looking into ordering hatching eggs but am trying to figure out if they have to be picked up at the post office like live chicks or if the post office delivers the package with the eggs to your mailbox/house? Any suggestions on good hatcheries to order from are welcome too.

Eggs would come to your home. Also remember that shipped eggs do need to rest for about a day before incubating. I have no recommendation for an egg source. Ideal source would be someone that has fertile eggs, and you are able to pick them up personally. (no transit shakeup) Now with the virus issues, doing that gets complicated in many areas.
I just noticed you are in Tucson. Can I suggest to post your request on the Arizona Thread. There are chicken keepers near you.
