Hatching eggs ... quality for hatchability ... Questions

Those don't look all that dirty, Cheryl. I wouldn't worry too much. I was only telling that story to illustrate how important it is for breeders to keep the nests clean so they don't send out dirty eggs.

OBviously you haven't seen DIRTY eggs

I usually tell people how the eggs are - the marans can get a wee bit scratched up, but people don't mind and I send extras! lol
But I have been sent eggs with CHUNKS o' POO on them! I"m like ACK! MUNSTER!

Those eggs are in alright condition - just the outside is dirty; those don't seem to be "dirty" just a bit natural - I only send eggs like that out as extras for filling (rarely that dirty lol).
