I have 14 eggs under one of my hens, she has been an excellent broody hen! One of them hatched today and I have not seen any movement with the others. I had two eggs go under her a day or so before the 12 - should I worry?
Can I leave the chicks with the hen and if so do I need to put a chick starter in there for the chicks? Seeing that cute little chick all cozy and tucked under her wing was so darn cute

Don't worry.

When everyone is finished hatching, you should seperate the chicks and

mommy to a safe erea where no other chickens will pick on them. We always

put chick starter out for ours.

Good Luck!

she is all alone and away from the other chickens so there are no worries about the others bothering her - I would like to keep them together for a while, is it ok to do so?
