But I must add that letting her brood was probably a mistake as it provided a lot of warmth and moisture for the mites, and it's probably why hers go so bad.
 
I had a Australorp who had scaly leg mites that would just not go away. She went broody and I let her sit on some eggs. As soon as she was done with the incubation and back off the nest, I dosed her with Ivermectin and withdrew the eggs for 2 weeks. Did the whole flock, actually. She's fine. Her having scaly legs under there didn't hurt the chicks.
