I ordered some fertilized eggs. I have a silkie sitting in them. She’s doing her best but she just isn’t big enough to cover them and some are cool. It’s been a week. I just candled them and some are still developing. But some just don’t look promising. Is it too late to incubate them?
I have some eggs in the incubator now that I’m hatching for my mom. They aren’t on the same schedule. They are on day 11. So there’s 4 days of incubation difference

It wont hurt to try. Mark them so you know which ones they are. Hatch time may be off so give them a couple more days than you think.

How many eggs does she have? If you don't see any development on day 7, then I think they are probably bad (though, if they are dark brown or blue it may be hard to see). When you say "don't look promising" are they clear? Blood rings? I think it would be okay to put some in the incubator, though I am not sure how that would affect lock down... Someone more experienced can chime in on that count.

She has 14. Which is more than she should but my other hen quit being broody so she got the whole job. If I give them a shot in the incubator I wonder if the raised temp and humidity at the end of the first batch of eggs will harm the newer eggs.

Some are very dark. Some of the yolks look like they aren’t developing at all. Still a ball. Some look sort of milky but it’s hard to tell bc they are black copper marans. I don’t see a blood ring.

What i meant was incubate the ones you think are viable. I personally would keep the incubator the way it is for your original batch.
