Hoping to get advice. I had to cull my flock because of CRD. I am waiting before I get new birds Some say it’s best to only get hatching eggs to guard against CRD. But how would I know. Doesn’t it pass through the egg? I am devastated. How would I know if eggs or young chicks are Infected? I do not want this to happen again. I am netting my chicken run to help prevent wild birds from jumping in. And I know there is a vaccination for MG. And my flock will test positive??? But will I still be able to breed and sell? I’m so confused and I know there are so many of you that can help me.

Sorry you had to cull your flock, that must have been devastating. In addition to the info @Pork Pie has provided, you might try asking on this forum to see if anyone can answer some of your questions: Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures

Best wishes!
