Hatching eggs

Hello, I am letting my hen sit on some eggs. can i have any info on what to do. I really need to know if you have to seperate the roo from the hen when the eggs hatch.

Yes I don't let the roo near.

Don't know if others do the same thing.

BUT after about a week I put the hen back in with the flock, after the chicks are more "with it" and will follow mama really fast!

i've never taken the rooster out mine don't bother the chicks and momma gets after him if he gets to close also try asking this in the hatching and incubation thread

keep an eye out, if your roo is quiet possesive with other chickens take him out but if friendly and is good with other chickens/chicks he should be fine good luck! Eggs should hatch in 21 days, if not give it a week and if nothing still throw the eggs as they are no good, we had eggs and you could hear the chicks peeping in the eggs it was so sweet so if you see a crack put your ear by the egg and see if you can hear any movement or peeping.
