hatching eggs

Turkey eggs take 28 days or more to hatch..some hatch at day 30.
I find turkey eggs require slightly higher incubation temps...more towards the 101F range.
Turkey poults like heat...keep the temps up near 99-100F in the brooder until they are eating well, and feathering out.
Turkey poults require guidance at hatch...they are almost blind for about 1 week, so you have
to help them find the water & food. In the wild turkey hens peck, and the poults follow along, so you have to be their mother for about a week. They require much higher protein feed, I supplement mine with lots of cooked up eggs & yogurt. Once they are eating well they grow fast.
Enjoy!!!
