Hey folks my Roo has finaaly started fertilizing my eggs. I am ready to start hatching some. However I only get two eggs a day. Is there anyway I can collect about 10 eggs and start them in the incubator together. How can I save the eggs until I have enough to incubate without messing up the eggs!!!!? Please help me figure this out
Yes. In fact, that's what the chicken does collect the eggs, keeping the cleanest, most normal looking eggs. Do not wash them. Put them in a egg carton. Online you'll find info on proper temp/humidity. (When my eggs were collected, they were simply kept on the countertop and they've developed fine.). I think they say you can keep them up to 10 days to incubate but after 5-7 days of storage, viability goes down. You can "turn" the eggs a couple times a day while storing by tilting the carton to one side a bit and then the other.
