HATCHING EMU EGGS NEED INFO (EGGS FOR SALE 2014)

Yes I was sold 4 emu eggs for $10 each and have them at a temp. of 95.4 and i cant tell the humitity due to it being shot on my thermometer. but am fixing the issue if you have any tips on temp. or humitity it is well needed. I am in NM and in search of some more emu eggs around the same price i want about 4 more or maybe 1-4. I would also like to know if the emus only lay eggs when they are fertile or if they are like chickens and lay whenever. if you can P.M me with info on eggs or comment or reply below.

Yes, I wanted to let you know that the four eggs well now two eggs were on day 17 and the two that are left are due to hatch in January through the first parts of February. And I was just wondering if one of the eggs is loosing weight but the other is getting heavier then is the one gaining weight most likely infertile or should I leave it. Also the eggs are not for sure fertile there was signs of breeding but not forsure fertile. So what my question is do you sell eggs or know someone that sells eggs If so please let me know because I miss my old male emu that was bought back from the original owner.

Eggs gaining weight is not good. They should loose 15% of their original weight over approx 50 days (moisture in the egg is expelled as the little creature grows). I find temp around 96-98 degrees works (the chick will just develop a little slower or a little faster). The humidity is the more important issue. The humidity range is flexible ie 25-35% however aiming for 30% for the ideal egg (thickness of shell, perosity etc). The weight loss in each egg is the critical measure for successful hatch of a fertilized egg. Too fast a weight loss and the egg pores can be taped off - too little weight loss and the humidity should be lowered a little within the above range, being aware that this lowering could affect other eggs in the incubator.
