Well I have an incubation question. I have always relied on my hens to successfully hatch whatever I put under them
guineas chickens ducks and a goose egg.
But I thought it sounded so easy with using a machine. I did use a machine 3 decades ago and hatched out some pheasants. but ask how...
ok I bought a geneiss 1588 put duck eggs in 28 days to hatch. but I because I had different days in there I figured they would hatch different times. so
I bought a hovabator still air as the hatcher. daaa so there is eggs in there different days. several when candled weren't live. so tossed them.
down to 5 duck eggs. different days. so my question is.
ok the duck eggs I have 2 are in the hatcher 3 waiting to go in. my biggest question is. if you have different days. when you put them in the machine.
will they be a day or 2 apart with hatching. I know hatcher is suppose to be 99.0F to start then after a day or when pipping go down to 98.0 with 84% humiditiy
then go down to high 70's . I have a really hard time keeping the humidity up. my room air isn't warm.
my eggs in the machine. I put in 4-8 1 is 4-9 put in on the 9th of April. when should they hatch.?
I put them in the hatcher on 4-29 thinking they were due to hatch on the 2nd of May. I did something wrong. as the eggs both of them are pipping .
I even candled the 4-8 on Friday thinking it hadn't hatched but there was a crack. so now I figure sunday it will be out. the other egg started yesterday pipping..
I don't understand what went wrong.
So next time I wont add eggs from different days to confusing. so if I set 5 eggs in the hatcher duck eggs so normally they would be in the incubator for 25 days. then candled then in the hatcher on the 25th day. Is that right.?
Hope you can help me. the above link doesn't work.
