Hatching Glued Eggs????

I've heard that you can glue an egg that is cracked and hatch it out. Anyone ever try this? Have any luck? What kind of glue do you use?

I recieved a batch of scrambled eggs in the mail this morning and I'm wondering if I can salvage some of them.

I hatched out a maran from a glued egg last week. I used elmer's glue after I dropped the egg on day 13. It was cracked and actually bleeding a bit. I glued it and stopped turining it until it hatched. It was the last one and I did help a bit but she is doing fine. I say as long as the aircell looks pretty intact and no major goo try it.

I received eggs and 4 were very badly dented. They weren't leaking so I thought I'd give them a shot -what did I have to lose right?! I figured that I'd just keep an eye on them in case they did start to leak. I used clear nail polish on them. Out of the 4 dented ones, 3 hatched! Good luck to you!

Yes glue, wax, or small pc. tape. They hatch thousand of the color easter chicks after glue or wax to close up the hole where the dye was injected.

Small outer cracks, I use the crazy glue. Of course if cracked to deep nothing will help.

I patched mine with birthday candle wax. It scrapes off easily enough, so the ones with a lot of wax I can scrape off the "zip-zone" on day 18, so they'll be able to bust out. Plus no toxic chemicals in the candle wax, I wouldn't want to use super glue of nail polish.

You can also use Elmers's glue and a piece of shell from a previous
egg to cover the dent and make the area stronger and better protected.

Superglue works! I have used it on slightly cracked eggs a few days before they were ready to hatch, and the chicks came out fine. One had an underdeveloped eye, but she is fine and our favorite, tamest hen. I just put it gently over the cracks, and held it until the glue dried, then put back under the hen.
