Ok i went to wal-mart today and my mom needed eggs and i got this idea. Is it possible that grocery store eggs might be fertile? I think it would be fun to hatch some of the grocery store brown eggs.....So is any of the grocery store eggs fertile?

cage free doesn't mean the hen was exposed to a rooster. It also doesn't mean exactly mean free roaming either.

I would look for eggs labled free range. You might have better luck.

I'd just go to a local farm and buy some. ;-) Way more of a chance of getting some babies that way.

Just google "egg battery" or "hen battery" and you'll quickly see why the eggs are 99.9999% not fertile. They are never exposed to roosters and don't leave cages.
