How many more hours do I wait if he is not making much progress?

i just checked, and no change, but I hear him.

Check every 1 hour if still the same in every 1 hour then go ahead try to attempt to help it. The way to help it to gently break the shell and see if he will do the rest of the hatching

When you say help, do you mean only the outer shell and not me membrane?
Do I need to mist the egg when I put it back in the incubator?

Ducklings can take anywhere from 12 to over 24 hours to hatch once they externally pip the shell ..Do not assist before it's ready or they hatch weak because the yolk is not absorbed..

It has been at least 34 hours. The egg is moving and I hear him, but nothing is changing.
